AI narrows your product to candidate tariff headings and asks for missing details, then the suggestion is chosen only from the real, current lines of the destination tariff (the UK Integrated Online Tariff, or the EU TARIC-aligned tariff for EU destinations). A code that isn't in the tariff can never be suggested.
From the destination tariff's duty rate for the code, your goods value, shipping and origin. Missing information produces a question or a withheld figure — not an invented percentage. Every estimate lists its assumptions and the date checked.
For B2C consignments of €150 or less, the EU applies a temporary flat duty of €3 per distinct tariff line (not per parcel) from 1 July 2026 — separate from import VAT and IOSS. The batch checker counts your consignment's lines and shows the fee.
No. Ambiguous products are marked as needing more information or expert review. That's deliberate: a guessed code is how parcels get held, surcharged or returned.
No — it's guidance to help you prepare. The legal responsibility for a classification rests with the importer/declarant. For binding certainty, seek an Advance Tariff Ruling (UK) or Binding Tariff Information (EU).
